An Organisation which supports the aims and objectives of ANZSDA

Organisational Member

Any public or private research, educational organisation or institution may become an organisational member of the Association upon payment of the applicable membership subscription. The applicant must align with the purposes, goals and scientific diving standards of the Association and have adopted a diving safety program and diving procedures manual that meets or exceeds the most recent version of the AS2299.2 Standard for scientific diving (or ANZSDA Inc. approved equivalent if an international member), for all areas of diving operations in which the organisation will participate.

Each organisational member is entitled to propose two people as their organisational member representatives. Once qualified by the executive committee pursuant to the standards set forth in the ANZSDA INC rules of Association (Rule 5.1.2), these individuals will enjoy all the rights and powers accorded to their designated individual membership category.

Organisation membership application can be submitted and paid online through the form below. Please note this application should be completed by an Organisations Responsible Officer or Delegated Officer. Online payment is ANZSDA's preferred payment method. Alternatively, you can download the below attachment and once completed, send to info@anzsda.org.au and pay via bank transfer.

Each organisation should propose two representatives who receive individual membership and have full voting rights. Please propose two representatives as part of your application.

By adopting some or all of the standards and policies suggested by ANZSDA Inc. for scientific diving (e.g., AS/NZS 2299.2), each member, either organisational or individual:

  • thereby represents and warrants to ANZSDA Inc. that they have thoroughly reviewed the appropriateness of these standards and policies for their own programs and purposes, that they have made a professionally informed, independent decision that such standards and policies are in every instance and every detail suitable for the intended use by that member, and that the adopting member freely and voluntarily makes an informed choice to assume all risks associated with the application and use of these standards and policies in any diving or diving related activities.

  • represents and agrees that the same adopting member has made a professionally informed decision to release ANZSDA Inc., and thereby does release ANZSDA Inc., from any and all losses, costs, injuries, death or damages, including attorney fees, caused in whole or in part by, or resulting in whole or part from, the implementation, use or application of these standards and policies to any diving or diving-related activities, or caused in whole or in part by, or resulting in whole or in part from, acts or omissions of the adopting member, its officers, directors, employees, students, volunteers or invitees.

  • represents and agrees that the same adopting member has made a professionally informed decision to hold harmless and indemnify ANZSDA INC, and thereby does hold harmless and indemnify ANZSDA Inc., from and against any and all losses, costs, injuries, death or damages, including attorney fees, caused in whole or in part by, or resulting in whole or in part from, the implementation, use or application of these standards and policies to any diving or divingrelated activities, or caused in whole or in part by, or resulting in whole or in part from, acts or omissions of the adopting member, its officers, directors, employees, students, volunteers or invitees.

We affirm that at least one of the undersigned is duly authorised to sign this document on behalf of our organisation, and we hereby apply for membership of ANZSDA Inc. and agree to abide by the current standards for scientific diving programs, bylaws, purposes and goals of the Association. By adopting any standards suggested or recommended by ANZSDA Inc. we agree to the representations, warranties, assumption of risk, release, hold harmless and indemnification of ANZSDA Inc. as stated above.

 

In addition to payment of dues, our organisation understands the additional requirements involved in maintaining our good standing as an organisational member of ANZSDA Inc.
